There is no iota of doubt that scarcity of healthy drinking water has become a significant concern globally. There are a plethora of causes behind this issue. Some of them are identified while some are on the research track. A ruling authority and people can play a significant role in overcoming this problem. This essay is intended to analyse both reasons and possible solutions.
On the one hand, water is a necessary resource not only for humans but for all forms of life present around us and there may be causes that contaminate this. To commence with, one of the significant reasons is a booming population around the world. Particularly, some areas are having a concentrated human life. This may increase the level of demand for natural aqua. In addition to this, water pollution comes into play in these heavily dense areas. As a result, the public possesses by lack of supply and issue leads to conflicts between leading groups and habitants. There are many more reasons, but important consideration is the lack of sewage management. Some parts of the world throw a major chunk of plastic waste directly into the river and the ocean. To cite an example, somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean an island of plastic waste is floating, and it is more than half of the land area of India.
On the other hand, both authorities and citizens have their own concepts to mitigate this growing concern. To embark with, the corporation has more power to control the supplies of fresh water by putting water meters. In addition to this, the government can impose strict norms to penalise individuals who are misusing resources recklessly. Besides this, authorities can plan regulations for industrial waste management that eventually might become massive quietude from pollution. For instance, a filter should be mandatory before disposing of wastewater of from factories. While masses can support governments and maintain self-discipline.
To recapitulate, this is a
non-negotiable issue that needs to be cured by both sides. Without fresh water
supplies, life may become extremely problematic in many terms.
